Super product!
I have waist-length hair and it only took 10 minutes to straighten! I got many compliments on how shiney and soft my hair was. The best thing though, is even after being out in the wind and the local bars, I was still able to run a brush through it with no problems! I usually don't do anything with my hair because it takes too long and it ends up feeling like straw, but the Amika changes everything!

Works Great!
I was a little skeptical when I first ordered this flat/curling iron because I have never heard of this brand before and nor have I seen it at vendor stands in malls, but boy am I glad I did it now! This beauty works like a charm! It straightens out my whole head of hair within 5 minutes! No kidding, because it gets hot within seconds of plugging in and glides so smoothly through all of my hair. This Amika iron also does a great job with curls! Although I have failed miserably at curling my own hair (haven't mastered it yet because I haven't had much practice), it did a wonderful job curling my cousin's locks and gave her nice waves. Overall, I am really happy with this purchase, especially for the it's sold at, it really performs to my standards. Comes with 2 hair clips and a cute box! Also, I was sent some hair shampoo, but it spilled all over my ups box =/ Other than that...love it!

The Amika flat iron works great. There is no burnt smell in my hair. My hair looks healthier. It heats up very fast and does not pull my hair while using it. If you are looking for a new flat iron, I would definitely recommend this product.

Great Iron
I bought this item when it was for about $50. I did some quick research and found it to be selling for much more elsewhere. It heats up very quickly, and has a dial to control the temperature. My sister in law recently used it and was surprised at how well it worked. She has a Revlon one (no comparison). This thing gets PRETTY HOT, so watch your ears and any other skin it comes into contact with. No burning smell or anything like that. I can't quite compare it to other products, this is my first straightening iron and I am very pleased with the purchase. I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of purchasing a great quality straightener.

LOVE the Amika Flat Iron
I was picking up last minute gifts in the mall on Christmas Eve when a girl at a Kiosk asked if I would come to her booth. Of course my hair was just brushed up in a ponytail and she asked if she could show me something on my hair. Now I'm mixed, African American and Hispanic, I typically get my hair blow dried by the Dominican Salon here in NYC to straighten it once a month, I do not have a relaxer or perm, but I do have highlights. My hair is naturally very dry and I have tried tons of products and tools on my hair and I must say the Amika gives amazing results! It's like magic, honestly! On one side of my hair she flat ironed it straight and on the other side she curled it. Both sides looked amazing! My fiance made me buy it! lol He said now I have no excuse to have ponytails in between salon visits. This is the second Amika flat iron I bought. My daughter was home from university & loved my first one, so I gave it to her & ordered another for myself. Worth every Penny!
I bought my straightener in March of 2007 from a kiosk in the mall for $105. I fell in love with it when the guy did my hair. I wasn't thinking that he was going to tell me that it cost $200. After he told me the price, I was hestitant to get it. He saw this and ended up knocking the price down. I am so glad he did this because I had a hard enough time paying that much money for it but it has been worth it.At the beginning of this week the straightener started acting funny. It will heat up when it is layed down flat but turns off after you pick it up. Personally, I think 3 years and 8 months proves that this product is well made. Out of 10 other straighteners by various companies I have owned, not one of them lasted over a year.It gets crazy hot so you have to be careful. I burnt myself only twice in almost 4 years. I love the color of the straightener. But what matter is what it can do , it does my hair really nice and i have thick , course hair and it makes it looks like i just walked out the salon. The heat is really high so dont burn yourself , and another thing that scares me is that if i drop it , it will break and i dont think Amazon covers the insurance that Herstyler does. So just be careful , its worth it though because it is real and really cheap and does the same job. normally this product from Herstyler would prolly be $150+ [...]. So i recommend it .

Amazon came through yet again.
My girlfriend has wanted this ever since she saw it at a kiosk in the mall. The seller gave her a coupon to knock the price down from some ridiculous number to $130. She kept talking about it for some time so I decided to look for it online cheaper. Sure enough Amazon was again the place to turn to. Buying it at this price and getting free Super Saver shipping out to Hawaii was a no brainer. She has said nothing but good things about this straigtener. Hopefully this will last, bought a different brand straightener that used water to create steam and it only lasted a couple months before it started leaking. All in all, this was excellent purchase.

PYT is the best straightener but beware of the warranty!!
The company will not warranty product that was bought online, and they can break pretty easily.I ordered PYT from Amazon but it was not an authorized dealer so my product was not covered under any warrantyplease beware of knock-offs and know that the product is available with lifetime warranty only from specific dealers and this is what makes it worth to buy because the product is covered No-Matter-What! I had to pay full price to buy it again but now I have nothing to worry about because I have lifetime warranty. And this is the best flat iron ever!!
