You buy and Smile
There are 2 sets of these, this one is for 4x4 wheel drive, other is normal cars n trucks. I needed a Ball Joint Kit that can handle 4 wheel Drive Ford's. After a calll to Amazon custumer service a retired mechanic helped me choose this one. Finding the correct Adapters + recivers took longer than changing my sisters ball joints, witch is my own fault cuz it was my first time. If you need 4x4 ball joints changed + do not want to go to local auto parts store to rent a set every month, this is you'r best choice.

great tool for the price
Great tool for the price, about 200.00 with shipping. A lot of adapters and the laminate instructions are easy to understand. Changed lower ball joints on a crown vic easily. The kit is made in Taiwan, which is higher quality steel over China. It also comes with a lifetime warranty, most other kits do not have this. This company also manufactures tools for snap-on, so I postulated it was of high quality and it is so far. I hope this review helps.

So Far So Good...
I am a professional automotive repair technician. I use this tool on many different vehicles. From Ford Taurus to E.450 Ford ambulance ball joints. The tool works as should and I like it. The instructions are hard to read and only give you a vague description on how to do ball joints so prior knowledge is definitely useful. Someone I work with said the C-Press is an OTC knock-off. That would actually be a good thing since the OTC press is a really good one and doesn't stretch or bend like the cheap ones do. I would recommend this to a friend. If I have any issues I will update my review. The adapters all work great and are of good quality. The case is nice with the names of all the adapters molded into the case.

upper ball joint
Item was a better price than anywhere else I checked. Arrived on time and fit like it should. The good thing is it has a grease fitting, so it will last a lot longer than the factory ball joints! There are two different upper ball joints for my 2005 Dodge 2500. Unfortunately, the first one was not the one for my truck. It was the adjustable cam bolt style. This is a concentric bolt style, so check first. I had to go to the Moog website to find the part number for the correct one. The return was no hassle, and I ordered the correct one.

great product perfect for jeep
This is a high quality kit to go with the 7249 ball joint press kit and was just what I needed for my Jeep Grand Cherokee with dana 30 and made a difficult job easy. Just remember the top ball joint presses out upwards and the bottom ball joint presses out downwards! And you'll need a big hammer to get the knuckle off. My upper ball joint was an offset one though and the adapter parts didn't fit, but I could easily remove it with the standard adapters that came with the press.

Ball Joint Press
The Tool works great. I work for a Ford Dealership and we do a lot of Ball Joints. A few techs in the shop have the OTC Ball Joint Press and I was always having to borrow them. I believe they paid around 150.00 plus tax for the tool, I got the same tool, brand new in the box for half the price here on Amazon. I am very happy with this product. PS, OTC is the manufacturer of the Ford Rotunda Ball Joint Press, same tool with a different box.

critical tool for the job
I can't believe I thought I could have replaced my ball joints with a 4 inch c-clamp instead of this set! My plan was to buy this and maybe return it if I didn't need it or sell it when I was done. It was easy to use and worked well. The whole time I was using it I was saying to myself, "I sure am glad I bought this thing". I can't wait for my ball joints to wear out again so I can use the tool again--ok, not really, but it was a joy to use. This is one of those tools that do a specific task perfectly and more-importantly for the male of the species...intuitively without any need to read a manual. I didn't try and use it on the vehicle, which, given the weight of the tool would have been much more difficult I think. Of course, I was going to try and use a c-clamp so maybe my predictions and estimations should be questioned. I actually didn't see obvious markings as to the tool's origin--maybe I'm blind? I'm hoping it was made in the USA. It is disturbing that...

Exactly what's listed
It's a ball joint press. I would hope if your looking for one you know what it does. Haha... it's work great so far. Had to put quite a bit of "beef" behind it when trying to remove one of the old Ball Joints on my Dana 44 knuckle and it held up just fine.

Can't be happier!
I know this was a big job I was getting myself into and wanted to purchase a very good set of ball joints that will last a very long time. I talked to my local garages and others on forums and they all said that Moog is the way to go. After shopping around at local parts stores and on-line places, Amazon.com was the best price. I already did all the homework for you. Buy these and you will not be dissappointed. They are great. They come with grease zerks for adding grease to them and the steering on my lifted 2002 Ford F-350 has never felt so good. I highly recommend them and I also strongly suggest to follow your vehicle specs and torque them down to the correct ft. pounds to help ensure longevity of the ball joints. I hope this review helps in your decision making.

Been on for a few years and tight as can be!
I put these on my excursion 4x4 diesel a few years ago and they are holding the front end in real snug. Got these because of the grease zerk. Being able to grease it should keep it in great shape for several more years.
