I put this muffleron my 07chevy ext. cap pickup. and it sounds like a truck now!! if your lookin for amuffler to set your truck apart from the other's get the Super 40 flowmaster I did! not a penny wasted!

Flowmaster Mufflers The best of the best.
FlowMaster mufflers are the one and only, no other muscle car muffler comes close IMHO, so my review is not really about Flowmaster series 40 mufflers but more about the new "Super" 40 series.The Series 40 muffler is Flowmaster's most aggressive sounding muffler, the "super" version was developed to reduce that annoying "resonance" sound that can occur inside the vehicle when cruising. The Super version does help with reducing resonance however under load like when pulling a trailer or driving up grade the sound is still there and can be very annoying. If rating the muffler solely on elimination of resonance I would give it a, 7 out of 10. If rating the muffler on helping with resonance while retaining that classic Flowmaster sound I'd give it a 9. It's well worth the added cost over the standard series 40 muffler but I think Flowmaster can do a better job reducing resonance. Hope this helps. Muscle on!

05 Avalanche
I bought this muffler for my 05 Chevy Avalanche 5.3L and was very impressed with the quality of it. I had it installed and it sounded better than I expected, I would recommend this to anyone.

Great sound and performance.
I love how this sounds on my 99 Durnago 5.2. This adds just enough sound to let people know your there, not over power the stock audio system. A+++ I am not sure how much difference in performance it has made, but it feels peppier.

Great Power, Nice Rumble
I had such an increase in power I couldn't believe it! My Jeep has great pickup and go now! I didn't get better mileage until I put on a stainless steel exhaust header that I paid $129 for off Ebay. Yes, you do need to disconnect the battery cable to reset the on board computer. No big deal. Traveling down the road with the windows up you hear almost nothing. However, with windows down and taking off from the starting line... you can hear the rumble that's music to the ears. I highly recommend this muffler. Take it to a muffler shop, have the exit pipe expanded to 2 1/2", and make or buy a tailpipe to match and you will definitely feel the improvement in power.

Best sounding exhaust for the late model hemi 5.7 NO DRONE IN MDS MODE
After viewing a TON of youtube video I settled on the cherry bomb exhaust for my 05 300c. The price of this exhaust was a bonus at 333 shipped. It is aluminized, but in the desert environment that I live in I have no worries of rust. If that is a concern, HIgh temp paint it with a few cans of black high temp exhaust paint from VHT. Since the install I have had quite a few positive compliments on the sound of my car. The tips really set of the rear of the car well. No drone in MDS mode and gets nice and quiet in 5th gear.

Perfect Purchase
After over 10 years of flawless service, I guess everything has to come to an end. I had this installed shortly after purchasing my Silverado in 2000 and spliting my exhaust. It has lasted way beyond expectations and two sets of pipes. This is exactly what a Quality piece of American Made equipment should represent to the consumer. Recently I had an unchacteristic back fire and blew the complete dual end off the muffler. I had to smile at the length of hard service and had no issues replacing it. I was very suprised that even after all these years, it was only a few dollars more than the origional purchase price. If anyone wants " what ya Pay for " FlowMaster is the only way to go

good sound through the throttle
I had a 40 series on my 03 Dodge 2500 Hemi and it sounded great. From idle to wide open it was a good growl with a good bark when you hit it. You can definitely hear the motor all the time. I had my system replaced and went with a 50 series and I think its alot quieter in the cab and out. If you like to hear your motor through the throttle get the 40, if you want a little sound but still cruises quiet get the 50.
