Great look but lackluster cargo light
I love the look of this light and the install was pretty simple. It doesn't fit quite as well as the OEM unit though and the cargo lights seem pretty useless. Overall I'm very pleased with the unit and would definitely buy it again. Top to learn more

Not as dark smoked as I thought
This product looks good, but in daylight it is not as dark as I would have hoped. The tail lights I installed on my black truck look great, this unit, maybe due to the smaller size, shows the silver reflective backing much more so it looks like black chrome in the daylight, not what I was looking for. The fit is about 80%, not a perfect fit and could be better. It is bright and does look good but thinking on going back to the red OEM light. Top to learn more

These lasted me over 5 years before some of the LEDs starting going out
In the search for some replacements and came across these which I've had on for over five years. Just wanted to say how great these are. The LEDs are extremely bright. You can sometimes see the driver behind you squinting there eyes from how bright they are at traffic stops. I'd also recommend getting a high power LED for the reverse light. These have been up in North Dakota in -30F weather and now in Hawaii. The bottom LEDs on the tailgate side have begun to go out though. First it was three LEDs on both sides and now four more on the passenger one so I'm currently looking for some new tails. I may end up just going with these again since I can't find any other ones that look better to me. Great buy, I didn't expect them to last more than two years and I got almost six out of them. I worked my way both directions around the piece with the loose ends of the trim piece to get the last of the "treatment". That way the stress stays the same on the piece till the very end and helps prevent twisting or bending of the piece. In hindsight this was all very risky because of the possibility of the tool slipping off the trim edge at some point and scratching the stainless trim piece. I started this process from the center of the top of the lamp housing, near the center of the trim piece. Then very cautiously and slowly tapped the trim ring off the headlamp bucket from the outside. It's an educational experience to say the least especially if you don't know how to get the lense out and strip the screw out on the bucket. Then very slowly I used a small wooden dowel and tapped it off from the inside. I took a very small (miniature) screwdriver,and from the INSIDE,gently inserted it between the lamp and the ring at the split.
He also had those velcro leaf spring covers that were colored if anyone remembers those. We took that truck everywhere, I remember when I was that little my grandma and grandpa and my mom, dad and me all would ride in it. I saton a lap I think. My dad said it was the only truck he ever fit 4 adults comfortably in. My grandpa boughta 99 new and still has it.
