While under warranty, my dealer claimed that the whine was "normal". From forums - I knew that wasn't the case. This part silenced my noisy power steering, was easy to install, and was reasonably priced. thx!

Product Description

Fits 2001 to 2007 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Caravan minivans equipped with 3.3L or 3.8L gasoline engines. Repair that noisy power steering on your valuable minivan, the reservoir is equipped with a filter in the base, which can become contaminated not allowing enough fluid to pass thru causing an abnormal whine or growling. Easy to install, can be replace in a few minutes, once replaced with the engine running the steering should be cycle from end to end and then held at one end and engine turn off, allow to sit approximatelly 15 to 20 minutes with the cap off to allow trapped air to be purged. The bottom line to this product is it arrived quickly, was in great shape (for a rebuild), had no core charge (since I didn't have a core), is a great price, and mounted right into the reservoir. Just make sure you have the new O rings for the re-assembly.
