good sledge hammer; but not enough product info is given
You discover when you receive the sledge hammer that it has a 10-pound head and that it is made in Vietnam.I think Amazon should have given that information on its product detail page.See the manufacturer's web site for more product information.I called the manufacturer's 800 number to find out what "dual-function" head meant. The customer service agent said that it meant that you could use both faces, or ends of the hammer-head. I think most customers would already assume that you could use either side of the hammer head, without it being advertised by the manufacturer.The sledge hammer really does have several features better than my other cheaper sledge hammer, so I think the price is reasonable.

Best Sledge Hammer on the market!!!
This sledge hammer is outstanding!!! I needed to buy a sledge hammer and I opted for this Jackson Coltrol Elite with 36" Fiberglass handle. I researched a lot of sledges. I held a lot in my hands and inspected them closely at hardware stores and I chose to order this Jackson from Amazon.com, sight unseen. It arrived and I immediately could feel the quality. The handle has a terrific non-slip grip, and is ergonomically shaped so well. The bulge at the end of the handle really does add a lot of control and comfort. The steel head is outstanding quality. Furthermore, unlike wooden handle sledge hammers, this steel head is attached so securely to the handle I can't see how it would ever accidentally come apart (much safer than a wood handle hammer). The feel and performance exceeded my expectations...plus, this hammer just looks great. It's tough and rugged...it will last a lifetime. Skip the cheaply made hammers from Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, etc. and select this Jackson Professional Tools...
