Tarnish That Cannot be Removed
I bought this bracelet 5 months ago. Overall I have been very pleased with it until the last month. When I received it, I used a light wax used by the London Museum and sold on Amazon to prevent or reduce tarnish. I repeated this application monthly since I wear the bracelet daily, but about a month ago a large spot of tarnish, 1 inch in diameter, appeared on the side next to the skin. Several applications of very good silver polish would NOT remove the tarnish, although it did get lighter. This raises the question of the purity of the silver in this bracelet. I have English sterling silver .925 salt dishes from the late 1800s which tarnished frequently in the past, but can be cleaned with the same silver polish leaving no tarnish. Further, I applied the same museum wax on this salt dishes, and the tarnish has not returned in more than one year. So - CAVEAT EMPTOR [let the buyer beware!]. Also, the bracelet has a ridge on the inside which makes the bracelet appear to have more...
